A lakeside evening at Casino du Lac-Leamy
Casino du Lac-Leamy stands on the shores of Leamy Lake in Gatineau, with its own performance hall, Le Théâtre du Casino. The STO Rapibus stops at Station Lac-Leamy and connects the casino with downtown Ottawa.

On the floor
The gaming floor holds over 1,400 slot machines and 48 gaming tables. Electronic gaming terminals sit alongside them, and sports bets go through the Mise-o-jeu sportsbook. The OK POKER room is in the Carrière section, with 13 No-Limit Texas Hold’em tables and a minimum wager of $1/$2. Poker tournaments run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Hours follow a weekday and weekend pattern. From Monday to Thursday the doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 a.m. the next day. At 9 a.m. on Friday the casino goes non-stop, staying open 24 hours until 5 a.m. on Monday.
It is open on statutory holidays, but holiday hours should be checked on the casino’s own site. Guests must be 18 or older to enter, and that rule covers the bars, the restaurant and the performance hall.

From quarry to lakeside
The casino opened on March 24, 1996, as the Casino de Hull, in a former quarry by Lac Leamy. A $210 million expansion in 2001 added the Hilton Lac-Leamy, a conference centre and a performance hall. The hotel and Le Théâtre du Casino opened that fall. A $50 million renovation of the play areas ran from September 2012 to January 2015.
Two dates are on the calendar. Halloween is celebrated on October 30 and 31. Poker and blackjack qualifying tournaments run from October 1 to December 31 across Loto-Québec locations. The Gold Bars blackjack Grand finals follow on March 6 at Casino du Lac-Leamy.
